CVS Black Friday Couponing Plan – November 24, 2016

CVS Couponing Plan - November 24, 2016 (BLACK FRIDAY!) from 20 Something Couponer

This CVS Black Friday couponing plan is a good one! I’ve worked really hard trying to get the most out of my Extrabucks while spending a minimal amount out of pocket. After a lot of figuring and switching around, if all goes well with this plan, I will have only spent $1.45 OOP and I will walk away with $20.15 EB to use towards my next shopping trip.

I split it up into two different transactions to get the most from my money. However, sometimes when a store is crowded, I get flustered and end up doing one transaction because I’m so scared everyone else will be mad at me for holding up the line. I don’t think this will be the case this year, I’m determined to stand my ground! I need to get the best deals so I can show my readers how great couponing can be!

I will have $23.99 EB going into this Thanksgiving/Black Friday CVS shopping trip, so please remember that as you read the plan. The following is what I plan to buy and if you’re a beginning couponer, use this as a guideline. There are other great deals at CVS, see for yourself here. Also, if you’re new here, EB means Extrabucks and OOP means out of pocket.

CVS Couponing Trip – November 20, 2016

CVS Couponing Trip - November 20, 2016 - 20 Something Couponer

Just got back from my couponing trip and I did pretty well. Compared to my November 20, 2016 CVS Couponing Plan,  I came in above my Out Of Pocket (OOP) total and ended up spending $13.16 ($14.26 with tax). I earned $23.99 EB instead of my predicted $24.99 EB. Why were my predictions off? Well, I have a few reasons why.

CVS Couponing Trip - November 20, 2016

First, the Campbell’s Soup coupon had from Coupons.com did not apply to the Campbell’s soup that was on sale – the coupon was for condensed soup and that wasn’t what was on sale. Since that coupon didn’t work, I only bought four cans of soup instead of the five I had originally planned for. The second reason my predictions were off was because I couldn’t find the 20 count packs of Luden’s Throat Drops so I didn’t get the $1 EB that would have come from that purchase.

CVS Couponing Trip - November 20, 2016

Overall, I saved $51.84 or 80%. I got some things for myself (I love the colors of nail polish I picked out!) and I got some canned goods to donate to a local food bank. I don’t need absolutely everything I coupon for, but sometimes a deal is too great to pass up!

Did you coupon at CVS this week? Did you find any great deals? Let me know in the comments!

CVS Couponing Plan - November 20, 2016 - 20 Something Couponer

The closer to Black Friday, the better the deals at CVS! I didn’t post anything for last week at CVS because the sales weren’t that great and I wanted to save my EB for better sales. The sales this week and the sale starting on Thanksgiving are both fantastic and a great use of EB!

If you remember, from my last couponing trip I have $20 in EB to use this week. I also was emailed a coupon for $10 off $40. I haven’t even bought anything yet but I already have $30 to use towards this purchase!

The following is what I plan to buy and if you’re a beginning couponer, use this as a guideline. There are other great deals at CVS, see for yourself here. Also, if you’re new here, EB means Extrabucks and OOP means out of pocket.

CVS Couponing Trip – November 6, 2016

cvs-coupoining-trip

Finally, a CVS Couponing trip that I have planned on my blog has gone entirely according to plan! Well, apart from the fact that I had $5 EB in my wallet that I totally forgot about that would have brought my $12.70 total down to $7.70, big oversight on my part!

Aside from that misstep, I got everything that was on my CVS couponing plan for November 6, 2016 and saved $22.64 or 64%.

CVS Couponing Trip - November 6, 2016 - 20 Something Couponer

I now have $17 EB to use towards next week’s sale, which I will have posted probably by tomorrow. I think paying $12.70 OOP (or $13.23 with sales tax) and getting $17 EB to use towards my next purchase is a pretty great deal.

This week’s (November 6, 2016) CVS receipt

If you’re wondering what I’m going to do with three boxes of nail polish, I will be donating them. There was a fire at the Cape Cod Military Support Foundation’s facilities – the following is a quote from the Cape Cod Times:

The foundation, which gives out toys and supplies to military families at annual events, lost everything in the office, including about 200 backpacks filled with school supplies, holiday decorations, inflatables and about 5,000 stocking stuffers and 1,200 toys the group was saving for its annual Christmas party.

If you’re in the area or even if you’re not, consider donating. You can read the full article about the fire here.

Did you coupon this week at CVS? How did it go? Let me know in the comments!

EDIT: I went back to CVS to use the $5 EB I forgot to use because they expire tomorrow. I bought two tubes of Colgate toothpaste for $2.99 each with $1.50 each in EB. With the $5 EB, I spent $.98 on the two tubes for a savings of 87% and got $3 EB to use next week. Now I have a total of $20 EB going into next week!
